The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) office in Yaba area of Lagos state suffered a fire outbreak that gutted a part of the building this morning.
As seen in a video below shared by eyewitnesses, heavy smoke as a result of the fire covered the top of the building as passers-by watched.
However, the management of the West African Examinations Council, WAEC, has confirmed to the public that all important documents and records were intact and that no lives was lost.
The quick response of the fire service team that showed up to douse the flames are to thank for this development.
