Ocean Crest School is an ambitious and
outward-looking school that prides itself on instilling leadership qualities in
children to help mould their character traits for their future again. The
school is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment in which
students can thrive to become a ”total child” to contribute positively to their
immediate society, their country, Nigeria, and the world at large.

The mission statements of Ocean Crest
School are “to nurture future leaders with Godly values and raise well-rounded
individuals in a one-stop educational setting” and “to inculcate in children an
attitude for excellence to provide a platform for outstanding achievement in
their journey through life”. This they have worked on by employing excellent
and dedicated staff who work relentlessly to ensure that the high standards are
maintained and built upon using a curriculum that is innovative and broad.

The school operates on the belief that setting
and maintaining the highest expectations for children is the key to success.
Key traits the children are groomed to exhibit include punctuality, smart
appearance, good behaviour and taking pride in their achievements. Ocean Crest
also encourages parent participation in the training of the children to ensure
they attain the highest level of success.

Educational
Structure

Ocean Crest School has developed a
curriculum provision map that integrates the Nigerian and British Curricula into one comprehensive
programme of study. In line with the British education structure, the students
encounter two clear stages to their education – KS3 (Year 7, 8 and 9) and KS4
(Year 10 and 11). All subjects are taught with a blend of British and Nigerian
context.

The education foundation provided for
the children ensures that they easily transit into institutions in the UK, USA,
Canada, South Africa, Australia, Mainland Europe, and Nigeria. Among the
examinations offered by students in the school are IGCSE and JAMB.
