The management of the Crescent University, Abeokuta, Ogun State, has constituted a panel to probe the alleged sexual abuse of a male student of the institution by a 500-level Law student, Samuel Olusope.
Olusope was accused of sexually harassing a 200-level fellow student in a boys’ hostel after allegedly spiking the victim’s food.
The victim was said to have been rushed to a hospital for treatment.
In a video posted on Instablog on Friday, Olusope was seen being taken to an office as some people derisively tagged him a gay.
The management of the institution said it had constituted a panel of enquiry on the trending story for allegedly sexually abusing another male student of the university.
The Public Relations Officer of the university, Idris Katib, confirmed the incident.
He stated, “While the investigation is ongoing, we have zero tolerance for any act of indecency or act of indiscipline as this is vividly reflected in the vision and mission of the university.
“The public should be rest assured that the investigation will be conducted with the utmost fear of God and fairness from all the evidence gathered, which will also be made public.”
