In a powerful address at the SMFest event held in Owerri, Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra State, took to the stage to mentor and inspire the youth of Nigeria.
His words resonated deeply as he highlighted the importance of perseverance and adaptability in the face of the nation’s current challenges.
“Yesterday, I had the privilege of mentoring some of our young Nigerians at the SMFest event in Owerri,” Obi began, setting the tone for an uplifting discussion.
He emphasized that the journey to greatness requires “grit, flexibility, and the courage to evolve.”
Obi acknowledged the difficulties Nigeria faces today but expressed his admiration for the younger generation’s passionate response to these challenges.
“Yes, Nigeria is challenging right now, but those of us who are older are finding strength in the passion of the younger generation. And we say—don’t give up!” he urged.
He encouraged the youth to remain steadfast in their pursuits, whether in business, skills development, education, or politics.
“Life will throw obstacles your way, but stand firm. If you need to, step back, rethink your strategy, evolve, and come back stronger,” he advised, reinforcing the notion that resilience is key to overcoming adversity.
Obi’s faith in the youth was evident as he stated, “Seeing the innovation and determination of our young people gives me hope.”
He believes in their potential to transform Nigeria into a globally competitive force, pledging to support their growth and the positive changes they are driving.
As he concluded his inspiring message, Obi declared, “A new Nigeria is emerging right before our eyes. Let’s keep at it.”
