The Ogun State government on Wednesday announced that students disordering teaching and learning activities in schools would be expelled along with their associate.

Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, the State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, gave the admonition in Abeokuta while addressing journalists of Secondary School Students who were beating teachers for rebuking them.

He also revealed that those that were apprehended previously have been arrested and charged to court appropriately.

He also made known that Governor Dapo Abiodun had been determined in assisting teachers and principals in carrying out their duties,  beseeching parents and guardians to ceaselessly keep an eye on their children and call them to order.

He said:

“The Governor is really worried about the unruly trend of hoodlums coming into our schools to beat up our teachers and he has frowned at such act of indiscipline”

He further added:

“Any student caught in this act will face the full wrath of the law alongside their accomplices. Ogun State is known for being home of respectable and responsible citizens, we will not allow any act to tarnish our image”

The Commissioner made known that the government would continue to frown at such acts of indiscipline. He beseeched teachers to give a virtuous account of themselves at all times.

The Commissioner charged parents that had objections against any teachers to channel their unfairness to the principal and such a report would be approached appropriately.
