Nigerian Man Who Took WASSCE 17 Times Earns Distinction from London School

Emmanuel Ahmadu, a Nigerian mental health advocate who sat for the West Africa School Senior Certificate Examination (WASSCE) an astonishing 17 times, has earned a distinction from the prestigious London Graduate School in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Ahmadu, who now resides in the U.S., shared this achievement during an interview in Lagos. He was also recently inducted as a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) in Nigeria, marking the highest level of membership within the organization.

Speaking about his induction, Ahmadu noted, “My fellowship will position me as a thought leader equipped to provide innovative strategies in tackling depression and suicide. This recognition is not just a personal milestone but a step forward in the global fight against mental health crises.”

His incredible journey—from an unstable childhood where he attended 16 primary schools and 14 secondary schools—to global recognition has captured hearts worldwide. Despite the challenges, Ahmadu has gone on to earn two honorary doctorates and has contributed to respected mental health journals.

He sees his success as a call to inspire hope and resilience in others. His story, marked by perseverance against all odds, serves as a beacon for millions struggling with similar challenges.

This latest recognition reinforces his mission to innovate solutions addressing mental health, depression, and suicide prevention, both in Nigeria and globally.
