It was a day of thanksgiving and celebration as Oxbridge Tutorial College held their valedictory service and send-forth of the graduating class of 2022 with much pomp and pageantry.

The event which was themed “Ascending Eagles” also cast a spotlight on the high academic achievements and excellence performance of the students by the institution since its inception in 1993 with some of its prestigious alumni including The CEO of Wilcreate, Mr. Oreoluwa Shonibare, Chief Executive, Moneda Investment Company, Mr. Ejike Egbuagu and Early Childhood Specialist, Dr. Mya Okeowo amongst others.

The celebration began with a Valedictory service at the Archbishop Vining Memorial Cathedral, Ikeja, where some of the students gave a beautiful rendition of the song ‘Pray for me’ by Darey.

The officiating priest, Ven. Olalekan Popoola, then charged the graduating students to imbibe the characteristics of the eagles while looking unto God to help them for their journey ahead.

The service was then followed by the send-forth ceremony with all the graduating students looking radiant in their green-themed outfits, alongside their parents, the school management team and well-wishers.

While reminiscing on her 29 years as Founder/Managing Director of the college, Dr. Mrs. Ogunsanya expressed her delight to see everyone gather physically to celebrate at the event.

She also thanked God for the journey so far, the management team, and the successes that have been recorded. She then admonished the graduating students to go forth and shine out there.

The Guest Speaker at the event, Mrs. Kate Ikechi Isa spoke on the attributes of eagles and urged the graduating students to not settle for less, but for the best only.

Some of the event highlights included; instrumental renditions, musical performances, theatricals, spoken words, and other delightful presentations and displays by the students of the college.

There was also an Oxpress launch of a book titled “Who am I, Who are You, Who are WE? Tales by Us Three”.

The graduating students received their certificates and awards were presented to the best students from each of the campuses, alongside parent of the year and long service awards.

One of the graduating students, Chelsea Okafor, one of the best graduating students could not contain her joy at finishing her program at the prestigious college.

The Head of School, Lekki Campus, Mrs. Charity Tony-Ubah also charged the students to go out there and showcase what the academy has trained them for, and to not forget their fatherland while conquering the world.

She also reiterated the college’s commitment to inspiring, equipping and empowering students to soar high and become better citizens wherever they find themselves.
