Both parties involved in the Deeper Life High School saga, in which a junior student, Don-Davis Archibong, accused certain senior students and teachers of molestation and abuse, have finally laid the matter to rest.

In a peace and reconciliation reception hosted by Deeper Life High School on Friday, May 13th, 2022, as part of the terms of the settlement, Don-Davis’ mother, Deborah Archibong, spoke with reporters after the novelty match and expressed her joy that all of the children involved in the case were present.

Mrs Deborah Archibong

In her explanation, She recalled that her son came to Deeper Life High School because of the sound moral standard and discipline the school is known for. Mrs. Archibong appreciated the teachers, students and the principal for the cooperation, noting that she has seen Christ in all of them. “I am honestly happy because all the children involved are alive and some parents watching us may be crying but I give God the glory. This is what the body of Christ is all about.”

Lead counsel to Deeper Life High School, Taiwo Kupolati also commended the High court Judge for initiating the peace process that resulted in the out of court settlement by both parties.

Also, the school principal, Ndidi Solomon promised that there will be peaceful co-existence between the school and the Don-Davis family.

The whole saga began after the Don-Davis family sued some students and the principal of the school for abuse, molestation and neglect of their son while in the school. However, the protracted saga has now come to end amicably.
