Yusuf Umar Danshitta, a graduate of the Department of Library and Information Science, has emerged as the newly elected National President of the Kwara State University (KWASU) Alumni Association. The election, held on Friday, December 27, 2024, at the KWASU Business School, marked a significant milestone in the association’s history.
The election report, signed by the Chairman of the 2024 KWASU Alumni Electoral Committee, Abdulkadir Olayinka Abdulbaki, confirmed that Danshitta secured victory with 33 votes, reflecting the support and confidence of the alumni community.
Other members of the newly elected national executive council include:
Samuel Oluwatoyin Taiwo as Vice President South.
Abdulwasiu Damilare Alabi as National General Secretary.
Tajudeen Olaoluwa Adeleye as Financial Secretary.
Jesutofunmi Adewoye as National Treasurer.
Abimbola Abdulhameed Babajide as National Social Secretary.
Felicity Onize Ifashe as National Legal Adviser.
Abdulazeez Abbas Olayinka as Assistant General Secretary.
The election process was conducted in a transparent and efficient manner, with all stakeholders adhering to the established guidelines.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Alumni Electoral Committee congratulated the newly elected executives, saying:

Danshitta’s emergence as the 3rd National President signifies a new chapter for the KWASU Alumni Association, with expectations high for impactful leadership that will strengthen the bond among alumni and contribute to the university’s growth.
