Blooming Greens School Wins First Position at AISEN National Debate

Blooming Greens School, Yaba, Lagos, has won the first position at the AISEN National Debate Competition.

The school won the first position in the Primary School Category for the Lagos Region.

Represented by three standout debaters—Esther Pamilerinayo, Murewaleakin Akinleye, and Tamilore Sina-Olulana—this Key Stage 2 team outshone competitors from schools across Lagos.

The competition theme, “Honesty is Always the Best Policy,” posed a challenging perspective for Blooming Greens, as their task was to argue against the motion.

Rising to the occasion, the team delivered a nuanced stance, arguing that while honesty is fundamental, it should be bolstered by values such as compassion, love, rehabilitation, and restitution.

Their thought-provoking illustrations and persuasive reasoning captivated judges and the audience alike, leading them to victory.

The debaters showcased both intellectual depth and integrity, and this victory showed their dedication and the quality of mentorship they receive.

This win adds to a series of accolades for Blooming Greens School. Earlier in October, a teacher from the school received the prestigious Nigerian Presidential Award on World Teachers’ Day, being named the Best Teacher in Nigeria for Approved Private Primary Schools.

The school’s recent accomplishments highlight its commitment to excellence and the holistic development of its students, securing Blooming Greens reputation as a leading institution in Lagos and beyond.
