Blooming Greens School, Yaba, held its much-anticipated 2025 Interhouse Sports Festival on February 14 at the UNILAG Sports Complex, Akoka, under the theme “Fitness & Fun.”
The event brought together students, staff, parents, and distinguished guests for a day of competition, fun, and celebration.
The festival kicked off with a red carpet reception, national and school anthems, an opening prayer, and a flag-off ceremony.
The Board of Trustees, Chairman, Co-Chairmen, and other guests were introduced before Mrs. Susan Babatunde-Yamah, CEO of Blooming Greens School, delivered her opening remarks, emphasizing the school’s commitment to holistic education.

She stated, “At Blooming Greens School, we believe in nurturing not just the mind but also the body and character. Sports play a crucial role in developing discipline, teamwork, and resilience – values that prepare our students for future leadership.”
Students competed in various track and field events, fun games, and team challenges, including the march past, calisthenics & cheerleading, 25m teddy bear race, 100m hurdles, relay races, tug of war, adventure race, sack race, egg & spoon race, and soccer matches.
The competition among the school houses—Joseph House, Susan House, and Kings House—was fierce, with students showcasing outstanding performances to earn medals and trophies for their teams.
At the end of the exhilarating competition, medals and trophies were awarded to the outstanding athletes and winning houses.
Special guests commended the students’ efforts, emphasizing sportsmanship and teamwork.
The event concluded with a closing prayer, vote of thanks, and a lively dance session.
The management, staff, and students of Blooming Greens School expressed their gratitude to everyone who contributed to the event’s success, including the Chairman & members of the Board of Trustees, Corporate Sponsors, Special Guests, Patrons & Patronesses, Supportive Parents & Friends of the School, and Invited Schools.
Mrs. Susan Babatunde-Yamah reaffirmed the school’s commitment to excellence in academics, sports, and character development.
