In a message to first-year and direct-entry students, Babcock University has extended congratulations ahead of the matriculation ceremony set for Tuesday, December 17, 2024. The event marks the formal initiation of students into the academic community.
In a notice dated December 16, 2024, Dr. Joshua Suleiman, Director of Marketing and Communication, informed students that they can embark on their New Year break immediately after the ceremony. However, students are required to return their matriculation gowns to the designated collection center on the same day before leaving the campus.
For those who prefer a brief delay, the university accommodates them by allowing them to remain in their halls of residence until the next day. The notice states:
“Matriculated students who wish to stay in their halls of residence until the next day before vacating the campus are free to do so.”
However, the university emphasized that no students are permitted to remain in their halls beyond Thursday, December 19, 2024. Dr. Suleiman reassured students that the resumption schedule for the upcoming year will be communicated soon.
The university community extends warm regards to all new students as they begin their academic journey.
