In a bold commitment to educational empowerment, former Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has pledged to bolster the Alhaja Wosilat Aregbesola Scholarship Endowment Fund to benefit more students of Fountain University.
The announcement came during Aregbesola’s courtesy visit to the university’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Olayinka Ramota Karim, today. Expressing gratitude for the continued support, Professor Karim acknowledged Aregbesola’s dedication: “We deeply appreciate your generosity and commitment to the education and well-being of our students.”
This year, 10 students received ₦200,000 each through the scholarship, covering their education for the 2024/2025 academic session. Since its inception, the fund has provided financial relief to a total of 155 students, with scholarships amounting to a cumulative ₦46.5 million.
During his visit, Aregbesola praised Professor Karim for her pioneering leadership as the university’s first female Vice Chancellor. He remarked: “Your strides in advancing the mission and vision of this institution are commendable.”
With this renewed commitment, more students at Fountain University stand to benefit from enhanced educational opportunities and financial support.
