Your Child is Perfect, Comparison Only Makes Him a Duplicate

Yes! Comparing your child to others makes him a duplicate. Parents must understand the fact that children are designed and structured to operate at a unique frequency, when that aspiration is inhibited it makes them feel like the opposite of their real selves.

Every parent is meant to painstakingly study his or her child and carve out the peculiarities in this child not to alter his personality. Not all children are structured to characterize a bird of the same plumage.

It will be very interesting to understand that differences in these kids productively create varieties which in return pave values.

So how have you been comparing your child with his peers? May be you feel his friend in class has a particular talent so he must have it too?

Do you feel he should possess a fair skin like Tomiwa, a neighbor’s son; a magnetic kind of brain-like Stephen your cleric’s son? A good look like a child in the next flat? Putting on a particular wears like his peers? All these are good but should be channeled in the right direction.

When comparison persist in a child some of the negative effects you see are:

. You make him feel inferior and this might result to depression

. As a parent, you will hardly see the best in him, you will always find faults

. He begins to develop low self-esteem

. He loses his confidence and identity and this makes him loose his personality

. Parents in ignorance create rooms for envy and jealousy which might develop to resentment. It makes some kids act weird.

. There are tendencies that these kids get more confused than being convinced, they end up losing focus.

As a parent, just know that your child is the best of its kind, inculcating this in them expressly makes them develop potentials and strength. Parents are meant to build, nurture and convince them in the right attitude not to confuse them. The only person you should train them to be is the better version of their yesterday.
