University Students Protest In Ogun Against The Abduction Of A 400-Level Student (Photos)

Students of the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta have taken to the streets to protest against the abduction of a 400-Level student of Aquaculture Nathaniel Olayinka Toyinbo by suspected gunmen.

The student was kidnapped on the farm allocated to him by the school management and according to other students, the kidnappers are demanding a 50 million naira ransom.

Other students have started protesting against the government and the school management while demanding adequate security in the school environment. They are also asking the government to help secure the freedom of the abducted student.

The students are aggrieved that since Olayinka was abducted, there has been no effort by the school management and state governments to secure his release. Most of them believed that kidnapping and abduction are gradually becoming a norm.

Though unfortunate, Nathaniel Olayinka Toyinbo is not the only Nigerian university student in captivity, students of Greenfield university Kaduna that were abducted weeks ago are yet to be released.
