UFTAN Honours Prof Nora Daduut with Fellowship

Following her longstanding contributions to education and French studies in Nigeria, Prof. Nora Ladi Daduut, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), has been awarded the Honourary Fellowship of the University French Teachers’ Association of Nigeria (UFTAN).

The accolade was presented during UFTAN’s 24th Annual General Meeting held in Jos, Plateau State.

Daduut, a distinguished professor of French who formerly served as a representative for the Plateau South Senatorial District in the 9th National Assembly, has been recognized for her exceptional impact on the organization and the broader field of French education in the country.

Prof. Mufutau Tijani, the National President of UFTAN, lauded Daduut’s extensive career.

He stated, “Senator Nora Daduut’s remarkable journey in the teaching profession spans over four decades, and her unparalleled contributions to both the teaching profession and the public sector are top-notch.”

In her acceptance speech, Daduut expressed heartfelt gratitude for the recognition, describing it as a delightful surprise.

She remarked, “I was just doing my job as a teacher, not knowing that someone somewhere was taking note of my support.”
