The accolades keep rolling for the man who began a revolution of using chess to impact the lives of children from slums in Nigeria.
His notable cause has gained rave reviews and features across the world with stars like Paris Hilton joining those supporting his cause to change the lives of underprivileged children.
This time, the graduate of Yaba College of Technology was awarded the Prize for Community Action at the 16th edition of The Future Awards held in Lagos state to honour youths aged 18-31 for their contributions to the society.
The Ikorodu-born founder posted the image of the award on his twitter page with the caption “The only future worth dreaming is the one that includes all of us”.
After successfully transforming the lives of some of the children found under the bridge at Oshodi and in other areas in Lagos state, Tunde Onakoya has set his sights on organizing Africa’s biggest chess academy this year where he hopes to transform more lives.
