The dream that became Atlantic Hall began in the mid-eighties with a few good friends. The dream was birthed from a discussion about the apparent rapid decline in the standards of secondary school education in Nigeria. This friends became determined to rise to the occasion by taking appropriate steps to change the prevailing system. Their single-minded determination and commitment is what brought about the status the school has attained.
Atlantic Hall School, a co-educational full-boarding school that has provided secondary education to many students since 1989 was established by the Atlantic Hall Educational Trust Council (which comprises of 10 ladies), a registered non-profit sharing organization.
It is situated in a safe and serene learning environment with a population of 480 students and runs a fusion of both British and Nigerian curricula and has junior and senior schools. Its core values of Excellence and Integrity permeate every facet of the school life.
The school has a farm on the campus which assists the teaching of Agricultural Science. It includes both a Goat house and a Pigsty. The farm grows various crops; some of the students help in planting as projects for the Environmental Club or as class practical.
After three years in junior school, the students sit for the Checkpoint assessment- a diagnostic test that assists in the placement of students into various pathways. In senior school, they are prepared for IGCSE, WASSCE, OSSD, IUFP, UTME, SAT, and IELTS/TOEFL.
Atlantic Hall is an accredited member of reputable organizations like COBIS, APEN, AISEN, BSA, NAIS. It has partnership with Oracle Academy, the British Council, and Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE). They also have a strong international partnership with the Sprott School of Business Faculty in the Technology Innovation Management program, Carleton University, Canada.
