Oyo UTME Candidate Receives ₦2.4m Scholarship from SQI College of ICT

Olalude David Ayodeji, a brilliant student from Deeper Life High School, has been awarded a prestigious ₦2.4 million scholarship by SQI College of ICT.

This accolade comes in recognition of Ayodeji’s exceptional performance as the top scorer in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) across Ogbomoso Local Government Areas, where he achieved an impressive score of 341.

The scholarship grants Ayodeji the opportunity to embark on a 12-month professional training course in Robotics Engineering at the acclaimed AI and Robotics Research Centre of SQI College of ICT.

During a surprise visit to Deeper Life High School, the academic team presented this life-changing scholarship to Ayodeji, celebrating his remarkable achievement alongside his family and school.

Dr. Adegbenro Sunday Ajani, Rector of SQI College of ICT, emphasized the institution’s long-standing commitment to nurturing talent and equipping students for success in the global technology sector. “Since 2008, our mission has been to cultivate a robust pipeline of technology professionals,” Dr. Ajani remarked. “With over 15,000 students trained and alumni thriving at prestigious firms like Google, Microsoft, and MTN, we aim to inspire and prepare students for similar accomplishments.”

In a move that underscores its dedication to educational excellence, SQI College’s scholarship is part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, annually rewarding the highest-scoring JAMB candidate in the Ogbomoso region. The college also plans to extend similar scholarships to top performers in other national examinations, such as WAEC and NECO.

Mrs. Aderemi, Principal of Deeper Life High School, expressed profound gratitude to SQI College for honoring Ayodeji’s accomplishments, while Ayodeji’s parents thanked the institution for providing their son with such an invaluable opportunity.
