Our Lady of Apostles School, Yaba celebrates 67th Founders’ Day in style

The Old students of Our Lady of Apostles Secondary School, Yaba marked the institution’s 67th Founders’ day at a glamorous event held at the school.

It was a day of thanksgiving and appreciation of the teachers that have helped in nurturing the girls that passed through the school.

Awards were presented to two outstanding teachers in the school for the excellent discharge of their duties.

In her address to the old students, the current administrator of the school, Rev. Sister Martina Mmagu said that the school was founded at the time when the need arose for a girls-only school and she highlighted how far the institution had come since its inception.

The occasion was also a time for old classmates and friends to reunite, as they shared memories of their time at the school.

The old students according to their various sets came together to take a trip down memory lane by singing old class songs and dancing together.

In attendance were Dr. (Mrs) Helen Boyo-Ekwueme, wife of the former vice-president, Mrs Cecilia Tukuru, Mrs Margaret Koshoni, Ms Yinka Davies amongst others.
