Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has launched the much-anticipated Bursary and Scholarship Disbursement Programme.
The event which was held on Monday September 2, 2024 was attended by stakeholders from across the education sector.
The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm and gratitude, particularly from the student body.
Speaking on behalf of the students, the Global President of the National Association of Ondo State Students (NAOSS), Senator Hammed Oyelade, expressed profound appreciation.
“We are deeply grateful for this initiative, which directly supports our educational journey and aspirations,” he remarked, encapsulating the sentiment shared by many in attendance.
Highlighting the event was the presentation of awards to distinguished stakeholders who have significantly contributed to the educational landscape.
Among those honored were the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Laolu Akindolire, and the Administrative Secretary of the Ondo State Scholarship Board, Mr. Lomuwagun Ademola, each recognized for their unwavering dedication and exceptional service.
In a moment that underscored his commitment to youth and inclusiveness, Governor Aiyedatiwa was honoured with the prestigious title of “AKEWEJE of ONDO STATE”.
This accolade not only celebrated his achievements but also his visionary leadership in promoting youth engagement within his administration.
