NECO Registrar Wushishi Elected to African Educational Council

The National Examinations Council (NECO) Registrar, Dantani Wushishi, has been elected to the Executive Council of the Association for Educational Assessment in Africa (AEAA).

This was disclosed in a statement released to reporters in Abuja on Sunday by NECO spokesperson, Azeez Sani.

Sani revealed that Wushishi was elected as the West Africa representative on the Executive Council during the recently concluded 40th AEAA conference held in Cape Town, South Africa.

“The NECO helmsman will now serve on the eight-member executive council, which includes representatives from various examination bodies across Africa,” he stated.

The Association for Educational Assessment in Africa, established in 1982, aims to foster cooperation among examining and assessment bodies across the continent.

“The association is saddled with the harmonization of educational assessment in the continent,” Sani explained.

This year’s conference, themed “Reimagining Education Assessment in the Age of Multiple Dimensions of Learning in a Global Society,” ran from August 19 to August 23. It attracted over 21 active primary members as well as numerous public and private institutions and organizations from around the world.
