Meet Oluwatobi Oyinloye, the Barber Who Graduated with First Class Honours at FUTA

Oluwatobi Emmanuel Oyinloye, fondly known as “Tinney Trimz,” has etched his name in the annals of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA). Combining the art of barbing with academic brilliance, Oluwatobi graduated with a First Class degree in Quantity Surveying during FUTA’s 34th and 35th Convocation Ceremonies.

Throughout his undergraduate years, Oluwatobi was a familiar figure at Akindeko Hall, renowned for his exceptional barbing skills. His brand, Tinney Trimz, became a household name among students who sought a fresh look for special occasions.

Despite his growing reputation as the go-to barber, Oluwatobi remained focused on his primary goal. “I didn’t allow the barbing vocation to override my main reason for coming to FUTA: to earn a degree,” he explained.

When not wielding his clippers, Oluwatobi could be found deeply engrossed in his studies. He struck a fine balance between honing his craft and excelling academically, dedicating countless hours to assignments, research, and preparation. His efforts paid off spectacularly, earning him a coveted First Class degree.

Oluwatobi’s story is a testament to perseverance and vision. Beyond his academic achievement, he remains committed to expanding his barbing brand, Tinney Trimz, and taking it to greater heights.
