The Lagos State Government evacuated Lagos students studying in Jos, the Plateau State capital, on Friday.

AllaboutschoolsNG had earlier reported the killing of 37 people in Jos, reportedly by herdsmen. There are many versions of the reasons behind the night raid which community leaders said had claimed 37 lives. Families of some of the victims said the attack was launched by herders.

According to a communique released by Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor of Lagos State on New Media, Jubril Aremu Gawat, the Lagos State government has successfully evacuated Lagos State students in Jos and they are currently on their way to Lagos amidst heavy security.
