KWASU Set to Transform Learning Environment, VC Unveils Ambitious Plans

On Saturday, Friday 30 2024, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, the Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), revealed that the institution is making significant strides to enhance its teaching and learning facilities.

This initiative comes in anticipation of a substantial increase in student enrollment for the upcoming academic year.

During his recent visits to the Faculties of Education and Engineering and Technology on Thursday, August 29, 2024, Professor Jimoh praised the faculty members for their unwavering commitment to the university’s vision.

He encouraged them to generate innovative ideas that could further advance KWASU and benefit humanity at large.

Addressing the concerns raised by the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Professor Ibrahim Laaro Abubakar, for additional lecture theaters and staff offices, Professor Jimoh recognized the critical nature of these requests, especially in light of the 13 newly accredited courses within the Faculty.

Meanwhile, Professor Bilyamin Adeoye Ibitoye, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, highlighted the imminent launch of a new engineering department focused on Mining, signaling further growth and diversification in the university’s academic offerings.
