KWASU, RUDN University Strengthen Global Ties

Kwara State University (KWASU) has marked a significant milestone in its international collaboration efforts with the launch of the second phase of the RUDN Professional Scholarship Courses.

The event, held on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the KWASU International Conference Centre in Ilorin, was attended by dignitaries, faculty members, and enthusiastic participants.

Dr. Kabir Mustapha, Director of KWASU’s Centre for International Education, opened the ceremony by lauding the relationship between KWASU and RUDN University, Russia.

He described the partnership as “building bridges and fostering global collaboration and mutual growth of the two institutions.”

The programme, supported annually by KWASU Vice Chancellor, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, was praised by Dr. Mustapha for its role in providing world-class educational opportunities.

He emphasized, “The courses, Entrepreneurial Journalism and Academic Activities in Journals Publishing for Young Scholars, are designed to address the evolving needs of academic and professional communities.”

Dr. Mustapha elaborated on the program’s significance, noting that the training aims to “inspire innovation and excellence in journalism and academic publishing and provide a platform for growth and development.”

Adding to the event’s gravitas, Dr. Mustapha Muhammed Jamiu, the Coordinator from RUDN University, encouraged participants to be attentive. He remarked, “The program is expected to have a lasting impact on the professional journeys of the participants.”
