Prof. Oguejiofo Ujam, the Dean of the School of General Studies at the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), has been abducted by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning along the notorious Ugwuogo-Nike-Opi-Nsukka Road, an area increasingly plagued by such criminal activities.
Prof. Ujam, who also serves as a senior lecturer in the Department of Pure and Industrial Chemistry, was reportedly seized under circumstances that remain unclear. As of now, the kidnappers have not demanded a ransom or reached out to the family, leaving relatives and colleagues anxiously awaiting news.
This alarming incident follows closely on the heels of another abduction along the same road.
