Gunmen have abducted three students from the Federal College of Agriculture, Akure, while they were working at a farm near the Akure Airport in Ondo State.
It was reported that the incident took place on Saturday evening at a farm settlement in Oke Oge, located in the Oba-ile area of Akure North Local Government Area.
The students, who were undergoing Industrial Training (IT), were reportedly taken as they made their way home. The abduction has raised concerns in the area, prompting immediate response from the Ondo State Police Command. According to the command’s Public Relations Officer, ‘Funmilayo Odunlami, anti-kidnapping operatives have been deployed to the region in search of the victims.
Adetunji Adeleye, the Commander of the Amotekun Corps in the state, confirmed the incident and assured the public that his team, alongside other security agencies, is actively searching the area for the missing students.
As investigations unfold, a family source revealed that the kidnappers have contacted the families, demanding a ransom of ₦15 million for their release.
