FUTA Appoints Kehinde Oladeji as Acting Bursar

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has appointed Mr. Kehinde Oladeji as the Acting Bursar, effective Thursday, August 1st, 2024.

The announcement comes on the heels of the completion of Mr. Julius Adeshoba’s tenure as Bursar on July 31, 2024, marking a seamless transition in the university’s financial leadership.

Mr. Kehinde Oladeji, a native of Akure, brings an impressive portfolio of academic and professional achievements to his new role.

His educational journey began at Akure Secondary Commercial School, followed by the acquisition of a Higher School Certificate from Ondo State College of Arts and Science in 1982.

He furthered his education by earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in June 1987.

Adding to his academic credentials, Mr. Oladeji holds a Postgraduate Diploma from the then Ondo State University (1995) and a Master of Business Administration from FUTA (1998).

Mr. Oladeji’s professional career is marked by significant roles in various reputable institutions. He commenced his career at the Nigerian Agriculture and Cooperative Bank, where he served as Finance Officer II and later advanced to Assistant Manager between 1989 and 1999. His next career move was to the Nigerian Institute of Management, where he held the position of Zonal Manager in Finance from 1999 to 2003.

In 2003, he joined FUTA as a Principal Accountant, eventually rising to the position of Deputy Bursar. His expertise was further acknowledged with appointments as Bursar at Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (December 2010 – December 2015), and at Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa (March 2017 – March 2022).

Oladeji’s professional qualifications are equally commendable. He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. Moreover, he is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management, underscoring his commitment to excellence in financial management.

In his new role as Acting Bursar, Mr. Oladeji is expected to leverage his extensive experience and profound expertise to ensure the continued financial stability and operational efficiency of FUTA. His appointment is seen as a strategic move to enhance the university’s financial management framework, ensuring that FUTA remains on a path of sustainable growth and development.
