DJ Cuppy, the Nigerian entertainer and daughter of business mogul, Femi Otedola has promised to sponsor the education of Tobi, an 18-year old caterer.

In a short video released by the disc jockey on Tuesday, she could be seen having a discussion with the young lady, who was overcome with emotion.

Cuppy said she met the teenager, who was working as a caterer, at her Pepsi photo shoot.

The youngster, who said she would like to study hospitality, revealed that she stopped schooling because of her father’s death.

Reacting to the girl’s statement, Cuppy said she will pay for her education if she promises that she will stay in school.

“God wanted me to meet Tobi so I could change her life! She was catering during my Pepsi photoshoot. Only 18, her resilience after a such a life tragedy inspired me,” she wrote on her Twitter page.

“Best believe Tobi is going to school and the Cuppy Foundation will provide every resource she needs.”

In 2021, Cuppy, alongside other youth enthusiasts, was selected to lead the Lagos Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) youth alliance network.

Subsequently, on March 24, 2022, her foundation donated N7 million to the Lagos office of SDGs and investment to support projects on education and gender equality.
