Cultists kill final year Benue varsity student and Anti-cultism campaigner

Igyagher Isaac, a 500-level student at the Federal University of Agriculture in Makurdi, Benue state, has been assassinated by suspected cultists.

It was learnt that the Agricultural and Environmental Engineering student was assassinated in a lodge near Gabiz Hotel, adjacent Benue Judges Lodge in Makurdi, on Friday night, July 31.

Isaac was shot and his body was piled on a pile of his clothes and burned by suspected members of the Aye and Vikings confraternity, according to an eyewitness.

The incident’s details are still unclear, but close friends and coworkers said Isaac was not a cultist and was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

It was also discovered that the deceased had planned an anti-cultism campaign for 2020, according to one Japhet Terseer.
