CPE Lagos Chapter Holds “Inspired To Teach” Program

The Concerned Parents and Educators Initiative, an NGO focused on reshaping the education sector in Nigeria held the first edition of its “Inspired To Teach” program on Thursday, 17th of February, 2022 at the LCCI Conference Centre, Ikeja.

The program which was aimed at developing educators in the country was attended by teachers and individuals who saw the need to become better at their roles by addressing and correcting issues facing them.

The initiative held the program to sensitize educators on the key issues surrounding the teaching profession such as teaching in the 21st century, provision of support to abused students and teachers well-being.

The speakers at the event were Mr Rotimi Eyitayo, who emphasized on the role of teachers in safeguarding children while also maintaining a safe environment in today’s school.

While the 2nd speaker, Mrs Dideolu Adekogbe spoke on how teachers could achieve harmony in their work and life, stressing the importance of good health as a prerequisite for achieving a balanced life.

Some of the dignitaries at the event were Mrs Yinka Ogunde, Founder of The CPE Initiative, Mrs Kemi Koleowo, CPE national coordinator and other members of the CPE Lagos and Ibadan zone.

The Oyo state chapter of the event will hold on the 19th of February, 2022 at the Abdulsalam post-graduate hall, University of Ibadan.
