The Concerned Parents and Educators initiative (CPE) is set to roll out series of Christmas soup kitchen in various parts of the country.
According to the National Coordinator of CPE, Mrs Kemi Koleowo, the soup kitchen program is to provide very young children with good and well cooked meals at this time when inflation and rising cost of food has made it difficult for families to feed.
The National Coordinator also stated that apart from the Iwaya program scheduled for 3rd of December, there would be others in Ibadan, Abeokuta, Abuja, Port Harcourt and various other cities with CPE members. It is expected that the program will feed ten thousand children before the year runs out.
Mrs Koleowo also pointed out that CPE will also be giving out exercise books, pens, and pencils during the program.
