Breaking: NOUN Professor Njidda Dies in Auto Crash

The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has announced the untimely passing of Professor Ahmed Amin Njidda, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture.

According to the announcement the professor died in a horrific car accident on the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway on Saturday evening.

The tragic incident occurred just a day after the distinguished academic was seen at the university headquarters in Abuja.

NOUN announced his death on its official Facebook page on Saturday August 17, 2024.

“May the soul of the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, NOUN, Professor Ahmed A. Njidda, rest in peace, amen. He died in a ghastly road accident about an hour ago on the Abuja-Kaduna road. He was at the NOUN headquarters in Abuja yesterday,” the announcement reads.

Professor Njidda was a highly respected figure in the field of animal science, with a specialization in animal nutrition and biochemistry. His extensive experience also encompassed research in reproductive physiology and animal production management.

He held a Ph.D. in Animal Science, which he earned in 2011, and had previously completed an M.Sc. in Animal Production Management in 2002 and a B.Sc. in Animal Science in 1995.
