Bloomingreen Schools Yaba donated over 1,000,000 to various organisations and individuals at their annual Christmas charity ball tagged “ Christmas with a heart of gold” .
According to the CEO of the school , Mrs Susan Babatunde-Yamah, the donation was made possible by the support of parents and friends of the school for the annual Art Exhibition displaying paintings and artworks created by the pupils . She stated that for them at Bloomingreen School, life becomes better when children are taught to support and give to less privileged in the society from an early age .
She promised they will continue to do this annually.
The Concerned parents and educators initiative(CPE) received a cheque for N250,000, an orphanage got N300,000, a widow with four very young children got N150,000, a child due for an operation got N250,000 and another widow got N150,000.
All the presentations were done by members of the Board of Trustees led by the Chairman , Mr Babatunde Yamah
It was all fun and merriment as the pupils danced and sang melodious Christmas carols .
The highlight was the highly captivating Nativity play staged in a very unique way.
It was a great time of fun for parents, grandparents and Teachers
