Alpha Global to Sponsor 40 Children in Low Cost Schools through CPE

The Alpha Global ‘Early Years Childcare Conference’, which was held at Oriental Hotel, Lagos, on the 8th of July, 2023, with an attendance of over 600 educators and childcare practitioners, and distinguished keynote speakers and panelists such as: Mrs Caroline Popoola (CEO Alpha Global & Alpha Childcare Services), Mr Fela Durotoye (CEO GEMSTONE Group), Mrs Yinka Ogunde (CEO Edumark Consult, Yinka Ogunde Consult & CPE) and Mrs Ronke Soyombo (Special Adviser, Education, Science and Technology, Ogun state) to mention but a few, was an Inspiring, Empowering and Impact filled experience. The conference, themed: “Redefining early childhood education of the 21st century child” served as a platform to explore, learn, and share ways to “shape a brighter future for generations to come”.

During the course of the event, the founder of the ‘Concerned Parents and Educators Initiative’ (CPE) Mrs Yinka Ogunde, presented an honorary award on behalf of CPE to the host Mrs Caroline Popoola, in appreciation of the Caroline Popoola Foundation’s loyal support to students in low-cost schools during the 2022/23 Academic session.

While rounding off the conference, Mrs Caroline Popoola presented an honorary award to Mrs Yinka Ogunde for her contributions to developing the education sector in Nigeria and a surprise donation of a generous sum of 2,400,000 Naira to the Concerned Parents and Educators(CPE) to support low-lost schools during the 2023/24 Academic session. While presenting the donation, Mrs Popoola commended CPE for their accountability in disbursing funds to low-cost schools during the course of the 2022/23 Academic session.

Mrs Ogunde deeply expressed her gratitude stating that it was indeed “a pleasant surprise”. She announced that the donation would be disbursed among various schools across the federation; “supporting over 40 students through the 2023/24 academic period as well as funding other needs of low-cost schools selected”.

Due to the unwavering support of Mrs Popoola, CPE can accomplish more on a larger scale in terms of impact while supporting students from low-cost schools across the federation.
