LASU: Dr. Adedayo Adebisi Receives Harihara Mehendale Award for Groundbreaking Research

Dr. Adedayo Adebisi, a distinguished researcher from the Department of Medical Biochemistry at Lagos State University (LASU), has achieved international acclaim by winning the 2024 Harihara Mehendale Award.

This prestigious award recognizes the Most Outstanding International Graduate Student Poster Presentation and was presented during the ongoing 45th Annual Scientific Meeting of the American College of Toxicology in Austin, Texas, USA.

Dr. Adebisi earned this honour for her exceptional research paper titled, “Chemoprotective Role of Gallic Acid on Steroidogenesis, Follicular Atresia in the Ovary of Rats Exposed to Cyclophosphamide.”

Her work highlights the potential of gallic acid as a protective agent against adverse reproductive effects, offering promising insights into chemoprotective interventions for those undergoing chemotherapy treatments.

The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University extended heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Adebisi, commending her for bringing global recognition to LASU.
